A Reminder That Immigrants Are Our Strength

Here's a YouTube link to Neil Diamond's hit "Coming To America". This song reminds us that before our current wave of immigrants, wave after wave of immigrants came to America from across the globe for the same reasons, seeking freedom from oppression. Before you spit on an immigrant today, look into your own family's distant or very distant past, and you'll find they were immigrants too. Disregard any ads that play before the song.

checked my family's past and it's well documented when they arrived to the new world from the old, just as it should be.
@boudinMan new world? No original inhabitants?

@Roundandroundwego the point is that immigrants were coming to america legally once the country was created. america has immigration laws like pretty much every other country on the planet.
@boudinMan legal but it was genocidal. Saying "new world" was a genocidal lie and laws weren't applicable. But I hear you! Genocide legally, but actually without law. The same thing to you. And do not repent. Let everyone understand your country, its project and how far back the lies go

@Roundandroundwego tell me how mexico is different... or australia and probably countless other countries.
@boudinMan good excuse.Carry on!
boudinMan · 61-69, M
@Roundandroundwego facts... they can hurt sometimes.
@boudinMan imperialism it's evil and it's your only plan! You seem desperate.
boudinMan · 61-69, M
@Roundandroundwego desperate about what... reality? the fact that a vast amount of land that was mostly uninhabited was settled by people from europe in what is today america, mexico, central america, south america, etc.? you seem to have trouble accepted reality. i don't.
@boudinMan you needed to avoid the obvious - not mostly uninhabited and never justifiable. You need to pretend. Go for it*! Show what genocide really is to everyone.

@Roundandroundwego what do you think the population was when the pilgrims arrived? lol

it most certainly was sparsely populated even tho you're pretending that wasn't the case.
@boudinMan interesting attempt to justify. estimates range from, two to eighteen million at the time of Columbus. Genocide is easier if the population was small,? More okay by you
boudinMan · 61-69, M
@Roundandroundwego so, what's your point, round head? you want us to give the land back... what about mexico, canada, central america, australia, and all the other countries that are guilty of the same? hell, why stop there, why not try to figure out what tribes took land from other tribes before there were even countries. lol

oh what a tangled web you weave.
@boudinMan you're the genocide fan. You tell me why you're desperate to justify the westward expansion. I'm not.
Stopping the colonizers of today isn't simple. But we should persue the end of colonization.
