Yes, but they came here legally. They didn't have to sneak in illegally. They also didn't depend on freebies handed out by our gov't, they made their own lives here and helped build and strengthened our country.

Before Columbus we had no borders, the colonizers put them up to keep as many others out as they could, funny how it was the european heritage in Gangs of New York, based in real history, that hated "immigrants".

As for the Jazz Singer, it's a favorite movie that came out when I was 10.
