Sanger Award for Democrats

Margaret Sanger is a folk hero to the Democrat party.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton accepted Planned Parenthood’s Margaret Sanger Award, named after the founder of the American Birth Control League, which changed its name to Planned Parenthood in the 1940s. In her remarks, Clinton singled out the namesake of the award for praise:

Clinton lamented that “Margaret Sanger’s work here in the United States and certainly across our globe is not done.”

Not only Hillary, but also Nancy Pelosi, Jane Fonda and other notable Democrats.

Do you know Sanger? She was given an award by the 3rd Reich back in the 30's due to her work with eugenics and
keeping the white race pure. She also received honorary membership in the KKK.

She is famous for saying that overbreeding of the working class is a problem that has to be dealt with, to achieve a
cleaner race.

She also said, "Blacks, Soldiers, and Jews, are a menace to the human race"

She said this "Blacks breed carelessly and disastrously"

That is an impressively selective reading of history, even by your dismal standards. It conveniently ignores the fact that her network of birth control clinics was colour blind during the segregation era and opened a clinic in Harlem which supplied contraceptive advice to thousands of Afrcan-American women in the 1930s and 1940s.

She once gave a talk to the womens auxiliary of the KKK in New Jersey in the 1910s to promote her work. She did not receive honorary membership. She had no connections with Nazi Germany.

Accusations of racism hinge upon the opinions and criticism of a single scholar, Angela Davis, who thought that Sanger's movement was not progressive enough.

In common with many people in the first half of the 20th century, Sanger was influenced by eugenicist ideas. However she consistently opposed abortion, her papers were rejected by the American Eugenicist Movement, and birth control as a solution to population pressures was widely ridiculed by American eugenicists.

Her real "crime", I suspect, was to promote sexual health knowledge and contraceptive advice among women and girls during a repressive conservative era. She was imprisoned for her progressive views and her freedom of speech was curtailed throughout her career.

Great hatchet job, Mr Dog. Will you be "doing" Florence Nightingale next week?

@SunshineGirl Talk about selective reading. 🤣

The Nazi Party did honor Sangers work, and the people that worked for her, that is a fact.

Margaret Sanger official influenced Nazis
An official of Planned Parenthood founder, Margaret Sager, was praised for his Nazi eugenics efforts. Since World War II, it has been well-documented that Adolf Hitler was profoundly influenced by the American eugenics movement and that many of his government’s racial policies were actually developed from the writings of American eugenicists like Madison Grant and Margaret Sanger.

And this is why she gave a speech to the KKK

White Supremacy: Founding Principle of Planned Parenthood
White supremacist ideas drove Sanger’s efforts to limit the reproduction of the so-called unfit through sterilization, birth control, and abortion. The weak-minded, the mentally defective, and those affected by poverty served solely as a scapegoat2 since many African American communities suffered from unemployment, poverty, and crime.

Remove statues of Margaret Sanger, Planned Parenthood founder tied to eugenics and racism
How a woman who advocated for the selective breeding of her fellow citizens came to be memorialized with those who built a country is hard to understand.

It's nice to know that the left defends THIS type of history. 🙄
