@BrandNewMan because of the administration had not changed the way unemployment is reported, and if the layoffs in the federal and state workforce were counted, we would have seen massive numbers reported as unemployed. These are real people without jobs, with families to feed. Easy got a failed businessman to say YOU may suffer before things get better!

I was on active duty for 2 years, served in the inactive reserves for an additional 6 years I believe, before i was formally released from duty.

I suggest that you look at the effects of the recent firings from federal service. The air and water will not be as clean, the medications that you may need will possibly not be invented, or approved for use, i could continue it i needed to, but i really do not believe that it is worth trying to educate you based on the assumptions you jumped to and your attitude.
