Trump is pushing Trade schools

I think this is a great Idea. It won't be long until no one can do anything for themselves, and
they will be forced to pay big bucks to the skilled individuals that can do things.

I grew up with a WWII dad that did everything himself. Built our garage himself, etc..I am not as skilled, but I have always
swapped out water heaters, plumbing fixtures, electrical stuff like putting in ceiling fans, etc...

I believe in the near future trades people are going to be very wealthy.

Yes, in the future, there will be a high demand for licensed plumbers, electricians, carpenters, etc.

I the future???

No, the future is now. A lady that takes care of many of our neighborhood plants and flowerbeds bills at $100 per hour. Handyman services go at $75 per hour.

Appliance repair is so chancy that the best recourse for a homeowner is to simply replace it rather than take a chance by calling a repair service.

Needed in addition is an overhaul of how independent contractors are legally and tax wise treated. How they get access to financing, healthcare, etc.

@Heartlander In the future tradespeople will make as much as Doctors, without all the college debt.

Hopefully women will get on board, or they will be left behind, and the wage gap will get bigger.

But, they might have to get dirty, ewwww, "I'm not doing that"

I never could understand the math behind the price of college tuition. It's only understandable if college tuition is something universities give away free to some while charging others more, a lot more.

That cost shifting follows the model liberals created in health care.

Like multiply the student-faculty ratio by the advertised tuition, subtract the average faculty salary and what remains is a fortune. So where dies all that $$ go, or was it ever there?
