Why no DEI in pro sports?

Why is it that only the best of the best, based on ability and merit, get to play and make
the big bucks? It's not my fault I'm only 5'10, why should I not be able to make big bucks
playing in the NBA? Why are us regular people punished? Shouldn't we continue to
get participation trophies in adult life? It's just not fair.....I'm going to my safe space.

@JPWhoo DEI is the opposite of Merit based. Diversity is the opposite of unity.

Equity is the opposite of equality, and Inclusion, is not inclusive for all.
