Whay will happen, when States run their own schools?

I think it will be much better. It will create competition, which always helps.

It will show what works, and what doesn't. Instead of doing that same thing
over and over, expecting different results.

Now that the Department of Education is being dismantled you will see what happens!
Corporalcolleague · 61-69, M
@Strictmichael75 the Trump team will soon find that their attempts to dismantle/shut down the Department of Education, while it was a campaign promise, will not survive the inevitable court challenges. At that point Trump will blame the court, specifically the judge, and then continue the appeals until the Supreme Court, which will be that time be exhausted by him, and will refuse to hear the case.

@Corporalcolleague It seems like the NEA is more of a money laundering program for the DNC,
than something that helps educate kids.
Corporalcolleague · 61-69, M
@DogMan i don't believe that is the case and don't see the basis of the argument

@Corporalcolleague 50% of union dues go back to Democrats, for their campaigns.

They make money for each other. They are not doing it " For the kids"😢

@DogMan What proof?
DogMan · 61-69, M
@Strictmichael75 The Education Department has received 4.0% of all federal funding in FY 2024. It’s also the smallest of any cabinet-level department, employing about 4,100 full-time employees in 2023. The next closest was Housing and Urban Development with around 8,100 full-time employees in 2023

Their 4% comes out to almost 80 billion dollars a year.
Corporalcolleague · 61-69, M
@DogMan that may be so as the NEA is a union and not involved with instruction "for the kids" but they do support candidates who are pro-public education and if the majority of those candidates happen to be Democrats then that's what i expect. Money laundering? Really?
DogMan · 61-69, M
@Corporalcolleague When a government program collects money from government employees
and funnels it back in the form of donations to government politicians, it sure looks like money
laundering.
Strictmichael75 · 61-69, M
@DogMan where is the proof?
DogMan · 61-69, M
@Strictmichael75 Look it up, I did! Every time I provide proof, all I hear is crickets, so it
is just a waste of my valuable time. Don't be Naive, Teachers unions donate millions to
Democrats, it's very easy to find.
Corporalcolleague · 61-69, M
@DogMan i still don't see the connection from money i paid in dues to the NEA, voluntarily, that the NEA used to support and promote the candidacy of a Democratic candidate is laundering money. But hey, i can't help what you feel it is, can I? 🤷‍♂
