Military will get back pay after being kicked out.

RESINSTATING THE UNJUSTLY DISCHARGED: Today, President Donald J. Trump signed an Executive Order to reinstate service members who were dismissed for refusing the COVID vaccine, with full back pay and benefits.

The Executive Order directs the Secretary of Defense to reinstate all members of the military (active and reserve) who were discharged for refusing the COVID vaccine and who request to be reinstated.
Those who are reinstated will receive their former rank and full back pay with benefits.
CORRECTING AN INJUSTICE: In spite of the scientific evidence, the Biden Administration discharged healthy service members—many of whom had natural immunity and dedicated their entire lives to serving our country—for refusing the COVID vaccine. Government redress of these wrongful dismissals is overdue

I was under the impression that you didnt even get to know what vaccines you were getting in the military, much less have any choice about them.

@nonsensiclesnail i knew a guy who was in the navy in the 1970s, claimed they gave him all kinds of shots and pills and he was supposed to stfu about it.

@nonsensiclesnail No, it is all in a persons shot records. I was immunized for 8 years to go anywhere in the world.
It included the Yellow Fever immunization.
But they never required us to get a flu shot, which is basically what the Covid shot is.

@trollslayer I was in during the 70's and 80's. If you were in a Combat role, as I was, you were immunized to
fight anywhere in the world. If you didn't want the shots, you were taken out of a combat role. You were not
kicked out.
@trollslayer this is essential what my father in law said when he was sent overseas during the gulf war. You didn't ask and they didnt tell you. I didnt know if it was jsut a time of war thing, or if this was the norm.

@nonsensiclesnail That is not true. Maybe some did not ask, but EVERY immunization is in a persons shot records.
And you are required to have your shot records with you to prove it. Mine was a little yellow paper booklet, with dates
and information. Today it is all online for service members to see.

@DogMan non combat roles got shots too depending on the situation. I was a gunsmith in a support unit but we got all the shots as well since we were part of the rapid deployment forces. Ive had shots for yellow fever, bubonic plague, and a host of other wierd things.
DogMan · 61-69, M
@Arnoldjrmmer Correct, you were part of the deployment force, which is part of the combat force. Many thousands of
troops never go overseas, even during wars.
