Biden Bans drilling in the Gulf

One has to wonder why now? after 4 years in office. My idea is that he is trying to
keep energy prices high, which will keep prices high on everything. He knows Trump
will lower prices on energy by reduced regulations, and more drilling.

Biden does NOT want the people to see how easy it is for a POTUS to lower energy costs.
So by banning drilling in the gulf, he will slow Trump down, while making up reasons that
energy costs will eventually come down under Trump.

Newsom was able to throw another .45 cents per gallon tax on California gas, to keep his
gas prices high. Biden did not have enough time to do that.

@DogMan i am smart enough to know that “drill baby drill” promises are a ruse to gain votes from the ignorant, and the supply of crude has very little to do with the price of fuel. I do wish fuel prices were more stable, but that has more to do with speculation and demand than how many drill rigs are turning. Adjusted for inflation, the price of gas now is the same or less than what I paid in the 1990s. And domestic output of petroleum is at an all time high.

@trollslayer Drill baby drill, does not mean we are going to have thousands more drill rigs.

It means that the massive Biden regulations and restrictions will be reversed, thus untying
the hands of the producers. I know you are unable to see this, so just wait and see what
happens. We on the right are expecting energy prices to go down, which will make
other prices on products go down. Rest assured that your Democrat friends in office, will
fight the lowering of energy costs, at every turn. Too bad if low and fixed income people
are hurting, high energy prices will save the planet.

@trollslayer You are forgetting the jobs that will be created. Not only oil field workers, but those industries that build the oil equipment, the companies that produce the steel, trucking companies to move all that equipment, etc. Tens if not hundreds of thousands of jobs!

@fanuc2013 do we have a shortage of jobs? What is the unemployment rate?
@trollslayer If you want true numbers, upwards of 20%, for Minorities, closer to almost 60%. The "official numbers" only reflect those that are receiving benefits, not those that dropped off or under employed with part time jobs.

@NativePortlander1970 how do you define “under employed”? Someone who thinks they deserve to earn more? Perhaps they are not ambitious?
