Nah, some of us just don't care about what the economy does for the upper ruling classes. We care about the economy bracket we are in.
DogMan · 61-69, M
@MethDozer Well of course, but a bad economy hurts everyone. It hurts those that
make less, far more than those that do well.
MethDozer · M
@DogMan Nah, trickle down is proven to be a myth.

Republican plan? My taxes go up. My employee rights go down. That's the fact where I am at.
DogMan · 61-69, M
@MethDozer How so? Have you not been paying more for Gas, energy, food, and just
about everything else? Everyone I know has been for the last 4 years. Sure, it doesn't
hurt guys like you and I so much, but I feel bad for the poor, the retired, and the Paycheck
to Paycheck people. There are millions suffering under the current economy.

I guarantee that if Trump is elected, energy prices will drop, which will make everything
else drop, due to transportation costs. The markets will react immediately, because
they know Trump will do what is required.

@MethDozer Who is it wanting to tax "unrealized capital gains"?

@sunsporter1649 targeting the wealthy for taxes is good.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@MethDozer "Splain to us how the gubberment can tax money that does not exist
DogMan · 61-69, M
@MethDozer 🤣 Are you telling me that you don't have any investments?, 401K?
nothing in the stock market? Do you really think that only the "Rich" have stocks?
DogMan · 61-69, M
@sunsporter1649 He doesn't know what unrealized capital gains are.

You should start a thread about this, I will follow.
MethDozer · M
@DogMan No I don't stocks and there should be taxes on stocks instead of it being used by the upper classes to dodge paying them.
MethDozer · M
@DogMan I do, and they don't effect me nearly as much as taxes on my wages.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@MethDozer You have a 401?
DogMan · 61-69, M
@MethDozer Stocks are not just for the upper class, and everyone is taxed on them
when they sell for a profit. What Democrats want to do is, tax you on the unrealized
gains. Which means you will be taxed BEFORE you sell.

That would be like you being taxed now, for next year, because of what the Government
"Thinks" you will be making next year. Would you be OK with that?
MethDozer · M
@DogMan No it isn't.
DogMan · 61-69, M
@MethDozer No, WHAT? isn't?
MethDozer · M
@DogMan You're example.
DogMan · 61-69, M
@MethDozer What you are going to make next year, is unrealized profit. Would you
be OK with paying taxes on it before you make it? That is EXACTLTY what this is.
MethDozer · M
@DogMan That is not what anyone is trying to to tax you're spin doctoring nonsense.

It's not a comparison.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@MethDozer Then what is that tax about?
MethDozer · M
@sunsporter1649 It isn't about taxing your predicted wages for the next year.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@MethDozer So you have no clue, eh?
MethDozer · M
@sunsporter1649 Dude it's taxes on increased value on unsold investments. That's nothing like taxing you on you're predicted wages next year.
MethDozer · M
. Under the new proposal, taxpayers with net wealth above $100 million would be required to pay a minimum effective tax rate of 25 percent on an expanded measure of income that includes their unrealized capital gains
.

Yes this effects only the rich
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@MethDozer So you are going to be taxed on money you do not have! Brilliant!!
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@MethDozer Now just who determines the value of property?
