Since when is asking that big corporations and those making millions and billions of dollars pay their fair share of taxes “hate?”
Carla · 61-69, F
Anyone making over four hundred thousand a year. If entertainers meet that criteria, then they are included in the raise.

@DogMan the point is, the biden administration wants to make corporations and those above the middle class pay their fair share.
What do you see wrong in that?
You have to see that the cuts trump gave those same people have zero positive impact on you. And...they want to give them more.

Why do these same people never go after the Uber rich entertainers, actors, and sports figures?
Those people usually aren't billionaires. Though I do think Hollywood should be criticized a lot more. The narrative that Hollywood is woke is totally wrong. They blacklisted actors for supporting Palestine. And far from being diverse, a surprising amount of people in Hollywood are nepo babies. It's kind of a close society for people born into wealth. Then another thing is the relationship Hollywood has with the military. In order to use military equipment in movies like the Avengers, directors have to promise not to criticize the military.
Also, I feel like posting this now.

They do go after overpaid people of all types. The difference, I'd guess, is that athletes, musicians, etc. are paid for what they do while CEOs seem to make a fortune off other people's work.
They have evil minds and hearts. And most of all too blind to see that these rich business men provide jobs for many and help build cities! And if they think they will ever get their hands on their money, I think they will leave the country first!

Strawman.
No one is coming after your $Billions.

@DogMan
At this point, it's safe to assume you don't understand what a strawman is. So, I will rephrase.
You're presenting this as a tyrannical government, out to strip business owners from their hard earned success.
Not the case, and this is not Maoist China. Perhaps you can educate yourself a bit about how privately owned businesses work in Scandinavia.
The focus has and always will be on, on corporations that demand to be treated like the average business owners, or individuals. The former have gotten used to government welfare, and want to pass it to their executive boards, and executives, in the form of stock options, that put them in the billionaire box, and screws their employees.
Exxon, and just about all oil companies, for instance. Tesla and SpaceX. They were formed using hundreds of millions of government loans, during the Obama administration, but Musk, who's worth $150 Billion, or something like that, who threw a shit fit, when he awarded himself an additional $54 Billion is stock grants. Nothing for employees, and threatened to shutter the business if he does not get that additional $54 Billion.
It's not about the family that owns a sawmill, even if they earn high figures.
When you say you will be paying more, I seriously doubt it, given your history on SW, misstating every single issue you failed to understand.
But really, you understand that this statement you made:
Is actually an invention/misunderstanding of reality.
Why do you guys never go after the people I mentioned above?
You only like to screw the ones that employ full time people. If Kamala gets
elected, I WILL be paying more. Yes, I exceed the parameters she has given.
I am not a greedy business owner like the left thinks we all are.

I actually don't mind as long as they're adding value to society but it's the consumers fault for making them rich. we're the ones giving them our money.

business owner here. i own and operate a custom metal fabrication business.
listening to them talk about the unequal division of wealth, they won't stop at the just the uber rich. they want go after their peers too, and then go after the vulnerable and impoverished as well.
from experience, there's no reasoning with these people who complain about inequality. i ask them what their demands are, i listen politely, i tell them i can't help them with their cause, and i walk away. don't waste your time or energy
