We have much to thank them for. Love the way they are so patriotic and not afraid of to show it for fear of offending someone.

It can’t be united. Our values are so divergent that they can’t be reconciled. We are in a cold, civil war here.

@Carissimi That is a great shame. As a non American I don’t enter into the political debates here. It’s not my place and it feels I’m unqualified to vent.

I wish for your country to find some common ground without it having to cost you something like another 9/11.

I’m English. I don’t want to be anything other than what I am. But I appreciate the role American people have played in the world, and I would hope they are a happy prosperous people for it.

I am heartsick over it. Especially what they are doing to the Canadian Truckers. They will do it here too when The American Convey starts up next week. It’s happening across the western world. The Elites want full and total control over every aspect of our lives. God help us all. @WintaTheAngle

Terrible motor racing? Didn’t care for NASCAR? Me neither. But the cars are fun to drive. I prefer motorcycles and motorcycle racing, mostly the dirt verity. Cool you enjoyed Vegas, interesting place to visit.

@jackson55 yeah, Americans are so terrible at racing that a guy built a racecar in his barn with a few buddies (Carol Shelby) and kicked Ferarri's ass up one side and down the other... 🤔
WintaTheAngle · 41-45, M
@wildbill83 That was a good film too.
jackson55 · M
@wildbill83 Not exactly in a barn, and he did have some help. But true and more than once.

Amerifats and bongs both feel like have-beens atm. Sad, really,
WintaTheAngle · 41-45, M
@QuixoticSoul Sorry I’m not familiar with those terms. But I think I know the point your making all the same.

I disagree with bad beer. American brewing culture (as opposed to the Budweiser/ cors stuff) produces some of the best ales in the world. Complex, perfectly brewed. Every country has its tasteless, mass-produced swill lager. Most UK pubs have Fosters front and centre - so dreadful Australian pubs don't put it on tap. But the British real ales on the hand pumps are superb.
WintaTheAngle · 41-45, M
@Abstraction That’s a fair comment actually l, when we were in the US the Airforce guys didn’t take us to places that served ales and just drank bud all the time. It takes you about 3 years to get drunk on that monkey piss. But you’re absolutely right real ales is where it’s at.

Having traveled much of the globe, I’d say most people are friendly and open to new experiences. Stereotypes are rarely true.
BackyardShaman · 61-69, M
You seem driven to do your best to stereotype us into as few groups as possible, there’s a lot of diversity.
WintaTheAngle · 41-45, M
@jackson55 Catterhams are a lot of fun. But not very reliable 🙂

@WintaTheAngle For a daily driver I agree, and a Atom is 4 wheels and a engine. But for making laps both are cool. I’ve driven a Ford Focus ST powered Atom here in the US. Fun to drive.

@WintaTheAngle 👍👍😂
sasanack · 61-69, M

WintaTheAngle · 41-45, M
@sasanack Or just not hysterical about it.
Thevy29 · 41-45, M
This is the internet. Why are you getting offended?
