Why Has America Been So Anti-Communist?

Russia, China, Vietnam - it seems like so many foreign conflicts of the past have been to stop communism, but could it also have been to maintain foreign influence? What threat does communism pose to the US?

I can think of 94 million reasons...

that being the number of people killed by communist governments via executions, hunger, famine, war, forced labor, etc. in the last 100 years...

@wildbill83 That's very fair. I believe that the original ideal proposed by Karl Marx even called for a "class war" that would inevitably result in the deaths of many. Big yikes 😅

@wildbill83 Never said I treated him like a saint or that I held him in high regard, I just used his definition to describe the origins of the idea.
