Why Has America Been So Anti-Communist?

Russia, China, Vietnam - it seems like so many foreign conflicts of the past have been to stop communism, but could it also have been to maintain foreign influence? What threat does communism pose to the US?

Because our country wasn't founded on the principles of communism....not to mention its an evil system that is responsible for the deaths of thousands.

@SW-User What about it is evil? Is it that it's inherently evil or that it was founded with good intentions but turned sour in practice?

@InvictusIndigo Its failed in every country its been implemented in and has killed thousands. Its not the "equality" lefties think it is.

@SW-User I can agree with that, and I think that those arguing for "equality" are mostly arguing for equality of outcome and not equality of opportunity. Communism, though seemingly great in writing, seems impossibly idealistic in practice in that regard. Would you agree?

@SW-User Then why do we have a socialized military and law enforcement?
