Why is Trudeau so popular given his importing of unlimited unskilled immigrants and housing them free in hotels and homeless shelters while there are
homeless Canadians?

What people don't realize for why governments actually like immigration is that the birth rate in white countries has dropped to just 1.1 child per couple. In 20 years that puts us where China is today. 20 years ago China forbid anyone in China from having more than one child. Now their economy is in a downward spiral.
Of course some die....but even if every single child lives for the next 20 years here....that means there are not nearly enough people to maintain a workforce....the military.....pay into Social Security....you name it. Without adequate numbers of people working age...a country dies. Immigrants by and large have large families. Mexicans for instance...5 kids average per family. With sagging white births....if immigration was not allowed or encouraged even....in 20 years both Canada and America would have economic and military woes we'd never recover from.

@Lilymoon many that are really racist.....nationalists.......are very much against any kind of immigration............but that is extremely short sighted. All they see is OMG white won't be right anymore if we let immigrants in to water us down. But the thing is if those same people had to lose Social Security....or our military shrunk....or we have so few workers that manufacturing HAS to move out of country entirely.....they would hate that even worse...and they won't ever see that angle of it.

@SW-User Well, 11 years ago one did come close to breaking the extenuating malaise of CPC versus LPC. The 3rd contender being Jack Layton then, on a crutch (which if you think politics through, sad that crutch gave him so much support, but he was very genuine and intelligent). Now, it's that boring two party system

For the same reasons that any world leader is popular or unpopular. It just depends what side of the fence you are on and what things you value.
