Yes, Russia invaded Ukraine in an attempt to grab land, a typical geopolitical.move that has spornrd wars before. yanas invaded Israel, not to take land, but to kill.and mame, brutally. That is barbarism to the utmost level. But calling this the beginning of WWII, i hope that I don't live to regret saying this, but I think you are playing the Chicken Little role too much.

@samueltyler2 India china war is also based on lands. It funded Pakistan for many years to capture the lands. China is doing the same. Globally these countries are very powerful and have so much of business. Well India Canada just started because of khalistan and Trudeau.

the "wars" you mention are between 2 countries, the "fact" that there may be several wars going on at once, does not fit the definition. This isn't just semantics, we don't want to cry wolf too often.

Your definition of war is solely based on mass weaponry and bombs. So you don't consider geo-political warfare, bio-chemical warfare as a part of war. The problem is not we don't live that era. This is modern day war. Can't be same as WWI and WWII. There is a lot in history which can read on internet. Since I am not sure how much are you aware of wars between borders of India, china and Pakistan.
