The U.S. declared war on Britain, primarily due to maritime grievances and impressment of American sailors. Seeking a quick victory, the U.S. launched multiple invasions into British North America (present-day Canada), assuming the territory would be easy to conquer
The invasions were repelled by a combined force of British regulars, Canadian militia, and Indigenous allies. The border largely reverted to the status quo after the Treaty of Ghent in 1815

The war of 1812 was won by America. There is no contention on this. The British settled and recognized America as a sovereign nation and gave America a bunch of territory.
There was no such thing as "Canada" in 1812, it was Britain at the time.

America did a very good job in Korea. It also did some excellent work in the Balkans.
Iraq was a disaster. No mention of that.
