Major General on Hegseth’s rhetoric around the war with Iran: ‘Words of potential war criminals’

Major General Randy Manner condemns the Defense Secretary’s recent rhetoric around the war with Iran. He also fact checks the President’s claim that the U.S. has an unlimited amount of munitions, and talks about how the war impacts our military readiness around the world.

Demented Donnie, Kegsbreath, and Netanyahu plunged us into a very costly war sidestepping all oversight. None of them actually did the planning, coordinating or analysis of current Intel. The diplomatic groundwork wasn’t laid. The history of the other wars in the past two centuries wasn’t reviewed. The very complex histories of the Middle East weren’t considered.

Motivations of greed, bigotry, and misplaced nationalism were concealed behind lies and deceit.

What makes the White House so sure about the duration of its war?

There has never been a war that worked to a timetable. Wars usually end when one side has crushed the other, or runs out of the ability to fight, and these have never been predictable. A war might not even end in a formal manner, simply come to an uneasy ceasefire, as between the two Koreas.

Does the USA have a definition for the end? Israel has been fairly clear and consistent in its wants - the Iran government's collapse, which is highly unlikely - but the USA's motives are not clear and not consistent.

I wonder too, if whenever the USA does stop fighting, there is any guarantee Israel will stop attacking Iran and Lebanon? Or that Iran will stop attacking its neighbours?

Even if this latest "prediction" does come true, what of the aftermath?
