To scenarios - man use nukes and blows himself to Extinction or as scripture says if the Lord does not put a stop to things all flesh will cease..... I believe the latter scenario and it will get to the point where a man will start the use of nukes but intervention from outside of this world will put a halt to it and they are out there and they are watching.
