Okay so they're saying that the land Israel reclaimed from Palestine is illegal.
The thing is people who occupy the majority of the lands are there illegally or illegitimately because there were people there before them that they conquered and took it from.
When you read a history of how Palestine got its name some say it was Syria and renamed Palestine by the Romans ......... some say it was Judea which was called Palestine by the Philistines / Canaanites.
In the Bible as well as history the Israelites conquered the Canaanites and took the land. So it's possible that is why all of this is going if the Canaanites / Philistines were the indigenous people and now identify as Palestinians. For those who don't believe in the Bible the question is were there people there before the tribes of Canaan moved into the lands.
Well history tells us when conquered you'll lose the land, sometime the land is regained or lost to others. Look at Rome, the Mongolians, Alexander the Great, the Norwegians/Vikings, and the lands they conquered and couldn't hold but lost to others........... Look at North America and the indigenous native Indians, the indigenous people lost the land never to regain it / Australia and the Aborigines, the indigenous people lost rule of the land never to regain it / Kemet and it's indigenous people / much of North Africa and South Africa under the rule of the conquerors.
1948 Israel regained their land and government...... 1967 the 6 day war Israel won....... UN established in 1945, prior to that right of conquest remained in force as it had been for thousands of yearsSo under the NEW rules of war it is illegal - but countries Russia is continually doing it, China, indonesia, Iraq, Azerbaijan....... Seems like it's not recognized by some countries, most countries don't have the means to conquer or annex.
And Israel remains a member of the UN.
Now supposedly reports have indicated Israel always warned the people of Gaza what was going on. And from news reports throughout the decades that I've heard generally Palestinians attacked Israel first.
All I can say is I understand why, I don't agree with some of the tactics, I wish it was a better way to resolve the problem.

Israel is out to destroy Hamas / if the people of Gaza had given up the people united in Hamas those attacks may not have happened nor would be happening.
If someone came into your house attacked and killed members of your family and it was within your power to retaliate would you? Would you in self defense take immediate action if within your power.
We live in a sad world where countries or organized groups attack others, in many cases some countries feel the need to control, to conquer. Yet probably throughout much of the history of man there are certain groups that has a need to conquer and control.
