He's meeting with Putin and Zelensky and this is a failure in your mind?
How so?
How so?
DarthInvader · 36-40, M
@SumKindaMunster That’s not even close to what I said. Nowhere did I mention what you're responding to, so I honestly don’t know where you’re getting it from. My post is pretty clear.
"What happened to the bone-crushing sanctions and tough-guy posturing? Positioning nuclear subs didn’t do the trick?"
This has nothing to do with any supposed meeting between Putin and Zelensky. I’m clearly mocking his inability to follow through on all the bluster, especially when he’s up against people with decades of diplomatic experience, long before he entered politics.

@DarthInvader It's in the picture you included, Quote: "Trump tells European leaders he intends to meet with Putin and Zelensky"
Trump is clearly still working on it, why are you so quick to dismiss this as a failure? Besides your incandescent rage against Trump personally, of course.

@SumKindaMunster Yes, the point is that today was the deadline by which Russia was expected to either end the war or at least agree to negotiations. That hasn't happened. In fact, Russia still hasn’t agreed to speak with Zelensky at all. The war continues, we’re right back at square one.
This so-called agreement to meet was something promised at the very start of his presidency. All that tough talk and bluster was just posturing, meant to intimidate Russia into backing down, and it failed spectacularly.

@DarthInvader I don't think we are back to square one. Negotiations continue. Next are sanctions. Were you truly expecting this to be easy?
What's your suggestions? If any? To bring this war to a peaceful conclusion?

I don't know I thought Trump said he'd end it before even taking office so I'm genuinely confused as to whether to think of it as easy or not....
In war, the winning side dictates what happens. Ukraine lost, Russia has demands. This idea that you are going to strong arm Russia into accepting a capitulation deal that it views as existential in nature is a pipedream. Even if you think Trump is a god-tier negotiator, he'll never be that good.

@DarthInvader Hm. I think you should take the time to figure out how you feel about this situation and then post again. You are all over the place, you didn't even know what you had posted until I quoted it to you.
Seems you're cross because Trump hasn't fulfilled one of his promises, to end the Russian/Ukraine war.
But then you undercut that by saying Russia holds all the cards here and its stupid to believe they would capitulate, so why bother negotiating anyway?
I can think of many reasons, can't you?
Think about it.

@SumKindaMunster
Do you actually know what a negotiation is? Having demands doesn’t mean the other side just folds, they also have their own positions, often directly opposed. The point here is that this war is existential to Russia, so any negotiations have to take that into account. Trying to strong-arm a nuclear power that believes its very existence is on the line was never going to work.
You keep shoving in points that were never on the table, which is why you keep face-planting. Honestly, you’ve been fumbling this entire time you’ve been replying here. Nothing you’ve presented lines up, and it’s because your anger over me poking your dear leader has completely fogged your ability to follow the argument.

When you read, is it to understand or just to find a spot to wedge in a response? The post is about Trump’s attempts to bully a nuclear superpower into capitulation only to end up where he started, not about me pouting over a broken promise. Well perhaps it was the 53 times that trump lied and said he would end the war within 24 hours
Simple... russia stops murdering Ukrainian children and babies and gets its troops off every square centimetre of Ukraine's soil

No worries. Pack your bags, and head over to the frontlines. You , your husband and kids. And make those Russians pay. Force them to give back every inch of Ukrainian lands they currently occupy. I know you can do it.

@DarthInvader The Free World will do exactly that. The russian barbarians now infest less of Ukraine than in 2022, they're going nowhere except back, their Back Seabed Fleet is hiding in fear, their Air Force dare not cross into Ukraine, and russia's gutless armed forces have now resorted to targeting Ukraine's children and babies.
Meanwhile, the russian 'economy' is a rotten structure awaiting one good kick to make it collapse and what passes for society in russia will dissolve (1917!)
The only thing acting as life-support is that US is now aligned with russia

@newjaninev2 Goodness, you’re still stuck on the “Russian economy” line? 😂🤣 By all means, if you can wipe Russia off the map, go ahead already. But this endless chatter about the so-called “free world” swooping in to do something heroic is getting old. Either you’re defeating the Russians or you’re not, and so far, it’s pretty clear you’re not.
And this idea that Russia having less land now than in 2022 automatically means they’re losing? That’s not how war works. War isn’t linear. You know who had more Ukrainian territory before 2022? UKRAINE!!!. And yet here we are. The frontline is shifting again, with places like Pokrovsk likely to be Russian soon enough.
Let’s not forget, Ukraine marched into Kursk and Belgorod, holding over a thousand square kilometers of Russian land… and then lost every inch of it. But somehow, according to you, the same people who couldn’t hold Russian land are “winning.” Where’s Belgorod? Where’s Kursk? 😂🤣 By your logic, Ukraine is holding less Russian land today than it did at the start of the year, so it’s losing, right?
Oh wait… in this case, yeah, that logic actually checks out given what’s happening on the frontline. But the logic is too inconvenient for you to apply, of course.🤦♂

@DarthInvader Don't panic 😀
Once a city of 50,000 people... now being emptied and pounded, bcause the inhabitants don't want to have their children and babies murdered by the russians.
russians bring nothing except destruction, suffering, and death.
Let me know when the barbarians actually temporarily occupy it.
Let's be clear... no part of Ukraine's territory is russian, and once russia is driven back to its 1991 borders that will become very clear to the barbarians.
In the meantime, try to avoid having any of your wealth in roubles 😂
