@Ferise1@Achelois It seems that anyone standing for office with the policy of 'put down your guns' doesn't get voted in. So the 'misleaders' are put there by majority of those voting to reflect their views.

Because we comply and get distracted by meaningless things.
We want an easy life, go to work, watch the sport of tv show etc, the option to stand up and say no more is too hard for many.

@Achelois I don't think I do. The nearest the UK came to having a 'pacifist' leader was Jeremy Corbyn and his team was wiped out at a General Election. I'm sure it wasn't the only reason though and it would be hard to prove that his lack of enthusiasm for armed conflict was paramount in people's minds when voting.

I would not vote for a leader who wanted my country to unilaterally put down its arms.

Wars are created by the leaders, not the people, these leaders are put in power for that reason.

A small group of men creating so much chaos and we play along.

Like I said, when the people stand up and say no more, it stops.

@Achelois You haven't answered my question. If you think Zelenski is a bad man then the answer to my question is straightforward: yes, they should allow their country to be subsumed by Russia and there would be no armed conflict. If you think the opposite, a different answer is required.
