I thought the same but soon as I thought of it I quickly thought naa must be more that will happen before a war ends. It is political, too much damage (whose taxes will pay)?? Influence from other countries etc.

I suspect he’s correct about the outcome. It’s just the initial premise—Putin losing the election or dying anytime soon that is unlikely.

Firstly he's never going to lose an election. They are fixed so he wins. If you look a decent opponent you end up in jail then dead.

Who takes over if he dies are likely to be the same philosophy so unlikely to stop the war.

@OldBrit You monarcgopolists always say things that make me laugh. Of course their elections are fixed they don't want them broke. Only the western countries throw away ( a billion on a female con artist, example sheesh!!) money on politics.
