Germany and the USA intend to arm Ukraine until it can dictate the terms to Russia for peace.

Let's agree that peace and the West are permanent enemies!

Russia should have applied to join NATO when it had a chance.
@beckyromero didn't NATO refuse? I heard that the West snubbed Russia when they said they'd join?
Facts ruin your aggressive blaming of Russia in every case, really. But I give you the chance to admit you LIED above.
In the West you would kill for such reasons as those just invented in your lies. You are killing. But what we expect.

In June 1994, Russia became the first country to join NATO's Partnership for Peace.

If Boris Yeltsin had taken better care of his health, things would have turned out for the better.

As for Putin:

Vladimir Putin wanted Russia to join Nato but did not want his country to have to go through the usual application process and stand in line “with a lot of countries that don’t matter”, according to a former secretary general of the transatlantic alliance.

George Robertson, a former Labour defence secretary who led Nato between 1999 and 2003, said Putin made it clear at their first meeting that he wanted Russia to be part of western Europe. “They wanted to be part of that secure, stable prosperous west that Russia was out of at the time,” he said.

The Labour peer recalled an early meeting with Putin, who became Russian president in 2000. “Putin said: ‘When are you going to invite us to join Nato?’ And [Robertson] said: ‘Well, we don’t invite people to join Nato, they apply to join Nato.’ And he said: ‘Well, we’re not standing in line with a lot of countries that don’t matter.’”

@beckyromero no going back, you blamed Russia. We shall not ask for peace again!
Western aggression. Never try. Let it fester!

you blamed Russia.

Yes, that's right. They had a chance to apply like anyone else.

Putin wanted to cut in line.

Maybe when they clean up their act, they can apply in the future.
@beckyromero and once you blame Russia, no peace. Nobody thinks the West would allow peace, since you can't beat the whole world during peace!
You sound completely informed and deadly, without regret! No hope in that.

Russia is the aggressor in the Ukraine-Russia war. So yes, I blame them.

Had Putin played his cards right, he could have acquired a long-term lease on ports in Crimea.

The British had Hong Kong until 1999. We still have Guantanamo Bay.
@beckyromero people do remember that aggression by NATO and the coup of Ukraine. And we understand your shamelessness. It's your western way.
