Can Americans question or criticize their quest for world domination? Is there any sense of right or wrong, here?

You could deny your country is dominating anything! Is that how you go along with being the great nation uber alles?

Not really and even many who do seem to do so as just a hypothetical and don't really mean it when the rubber meets the road and real stakes are involved.
