A memorial for the 2,456 service men and more than 3,800 U.S. contractors and Defense Department civilians have been killed in Afghanistan.

No man has a greater love of country,
Than those who fight for it when it's wrong.

It shows a belief in how the country can change, despite its diminished values.

A man who fights for his country,
Shows a strength in character,
That cowards can not possess.
Those who run away, are forever running from the wrong. And usually don't fight for what is right.

For even while fighting, he knows what is right from the conflicting, terrible wrongs.

This is for those who have fought and gave their lives in fighting when they knew the country was wrong.

Please this is a memorial!
The issue of that war was irrelevant!
Don't treat our own citizens as they were not fighting for their country.

This is not a political debate either!
Don't turn it in to one, or else!
Make your own post, if you wish such!

Totally agree with you , I have nothing but mad respect for our veterans no matter what time, when , where or what capacity they served in.

It breaks my heart and makes me ashamed of the way we treat our veterans. The people who have sacrificed and paid the most in blood, time, loss of time with family, witnessed unspeakable things, and the ultimate sacrifice, their lives. The people we owe the most to are caught in a system, that for many, is far from providing adequate treatment, resources, and effective short and long term care.

They are told when recruited ,trained and serve that " we got your back" . Well.....WE DONT!! They are not told they will receive substandard care, in a overloaded, understaffed inadequately equiped health care system. That an adequate monitored and followed long term mental care , retraining and reintegration program does not exist. That 10's of thousands of our finest and most valuable citizens are homeless and living in the streets with little hope of a future. All casualties don't occur on the battlefield and on average 22 veterans everyday take their own lives. Almost one every hour of everyday . That is not and should not be acceptable. Please call your congressmen and state representatives to increase the funding for all of the veterans administrations and agencies. Let's show them we do care, their service did matter and they get what they have already paid for in full.

Thank you all for your service and bless each and everyone of you
