1. Israel can use ground troops - at greater risk of increased military loses
2. Israel can exhaust its existing supply of bombs in Gaza leaving it vulnerable to Iranian / Hezbollah / other attack
3. Israel could (presuming it has them) as a last resort without withheld conventional weapons use one or more small tactical nuclear weapons in Gaza to end the war as was done in Hiroshima / Nagasaki.
4. Israel could leave Hamas in place knowing they will have to go do this whole operation all over again in a short period of time and pull out .. (political suicide for Netanyahu)...
