Putins next military draft

Putin is about to sign into law a new military draft requiring ALL Russian men of fighting age to sign up for military service so that they may serve in the Ukraine meat grinder. Putin is making sure there is no way for Russian men to avoid military service as he seeks to achieve his dream of obliterating Ukraine from the face of this earth.
Hopefully all the Patriotic Putin fan boys from SW will be enthusiastic enough to sign up and support Comrade Putin.

That means they are going to cost us more taxpayers money and more depleting of US military assets! We are not going to have enough for China or North Korea! I believe that’s China‘a plan. He probably told Putin to make the war last as long as he can to deplete US and other NATO members of their military assets. Then China will take care of the rest. Our government is too stupid to see that. We’d be better off losing Ukraine than lose the US.

Ukraine is destroying the russian forces by using the West's surplus and obsolete stock.

The West hasn't had to do anything more than re-allocate production priorities

China can be dealt with financially... no need for military confrontation. The country has almost no internal market, and relies extensively on international trade. If the West stops importing from China, and returns its manufacturing base to its home countries, the Chinese masses, who now have sharply increased expectations of wealth, will not be happy (to say the least).

For China, disconnection from the global community would be disastrous.

@specman All that aside, there's no doubt that Europe needs to sharply increase its defence capabilities. Scholz and Macron have been worse than useless in that regard... they verge on collaboration with russia.

@newjaninev2 They are making allies and they want to take the micro chip industry from Taiwan. We have to defend not only Ukraine but Taiwan, and South Korea. We have so much debt to China they would own us if they tried to collect.
About them fighting the US they wouldn't care what others thought cause if they defeat us then they would be the new World Power.

@specman China has enormous investments in US... absolutely enormous. They cannot shake US without shaking their own country. Everything is now tightly inter-connected.

russia didn't realise that. Their thinking for both military and economic matters seems stuck in the last century (they're digging trenches, for goodness sake!). They're now paying the price of their neurotic fixation on the past.
