War: The history of tactics used in Ukraine from Sept 8th 2022 to Oct 11th 2022.

For war buffs this video should prove to be interesting.

For practical people this is a lesson of the fallacies of remaining ignorant.

Approx 22 minutes.

I'm not posting this to glorify war or the tactics used in war. War is ugly, there is no denying it. More to the point an example of how history repeats itself. Not only once yet many times.

Russian position is to hide history. To deny historical as well as current day facts. So how could their leaders even learn from the tactics of others when their leaders suppress history itself.

To remain ignorant of history is to accept defeat in the present..

Great, thank you! Thunder Run sounds similar to Blitzkrieg.

@Human1000 my thoughts exactly! My father told me of that from direct experience in Czechoslovakia. He was there from the very first.

@DeWayfarer He was Czech and witnessed it?
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@Human1000 yep! Political prisoner as well and escaped much later.

@DeWayfarer Political prisoner taken by the Gestapo?
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@Human1000 he wasn't clear on the details on who. Actually had to drag any kind of information over decades about anything of those times. Yet little bits and pieces came out like working in the mines, his escape and how he got from Italy to the US he did share. Of course his home village as well.

Have an incomplete story about some of it. Stops at the time of his capture. I doubt I'll ever finish it because some of it is very graphic or disturbing.

I have eluded to some of that time in replies to others though where appropriate. Like prisoner brainwashing.

@DeWayfarer I understand. When you said he was a political prisoner that can only mean one thing. How fortunate he was able to escape.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@Human1000 his grandfather was shot on the spot! 😞
Human1000 · 51-55, M
@DeWayfarer I hope those criminals didn’t survive themselves.

@Human1000 no idea. Just that my father probably killed to get out. With his hands only, so uncertain.
