Actually Stalin's corpse was removed from the mausoleum in Red Square 60 years ago, so only Lenin's embalmed remains are still there.

I don't know if they buried Stalin face down, but he would have deserved it.

@Thinkerbell yeah....i think there will be years of stalemate in which Orcistan is not advancing and Ukraine are not taking back territory.
And both sides are too stubborn to work out an acceptable peace deal.
It is a pipedream to think Ukraine can drive Russia out using war.
Never going to happen.

That has got a of comment.
Another Chernobyl might be what is needed to end this.
People are not really following the war anymore.
It isn’t the lead story on the broadcast news or in the newspapers.
It is just another Syria,Yemen,Afghanistan that is being largely ignored.
And if i didn’t know you i suspect i would be forgetting about it too.
Ukraine needs to think about that......Anna tells us every day not to get used to war in Ukraine.
But that is what is happening.

@TheSirfurryanimalWales we monitor your broadcast media, your online news services, your press. i do not remember a day when news of our war was not on front pages and among lead items in rolling news bulletins.

but i would understand people losing interest, i mean, why should we expect any commitment from the Welsh or the French or the Germans?

@Yulianna it’s not the lead story in my daily news feeds...except the ones from the New York Times.
Some domestic ones don’t mention it all some days.
I can’t speak for the TV news because I never watch it.
The subject of several threads here is what happened in Crimea.
Operator Starsky and Anna have been talking about it.
‘Partisans’ seems to be the Ukrainian line.
It is true that for the average person Ukraine is now just another story on the news.
You have to work on that.
What I do know is that Anna’s vlog is picking up thousands of subscribers every week and I have put at least four posts on in recent hours.
