Just thinking about all the rage I used to feel.

I hated the world for not saving us, not saving my sibling and cousins , and more than that for contributing to a system which creates such victimization and human rights abuse. Systems that thrive on war, cheap labor and all manners of cruelty.

When you have been on the other side of the equation it is not something you can ignore as you pay that gas bill , buy that next iphone..The rage is there, guilt, inadequacy, envy..

But it kinda gets disarmed as you come to realize how limited everyone is and the many narratives within each narratives and identities we feel we fit into.

And love allows your wounds to heal even if for just little bit before they get cut again. It gives you peace like nothing else does and can.

I'm never sure what standards to hold people to. Very few people knowingly do evil, life is a clusterfuck of people trying to sus out each other's motivations, weigh their fear against each other's. If you look at people's actions alone, most people undeniably show pretty extreme forms of selfishness (myself included), but in the right situations, will commit incredible acts of self-sacrifice. And it's weird to think about the fact that the regular people who supported the Holocaust were, at their core, basically the same as the regular people who stormed the beaches of Normandy. They all just developed different beliefs and acted in different ways because of the circumstances they were born into.

Hopefully we can have more love and less hate... little by little.
