These criminals try to instil fear in every human being on the planet. It's like "If we can't burn Ukraine to ashes as we want to then we will burn the whole world. You bow to us or you will die a horrible death."

@DIABLISS America should support Ukraine with any heavy armament they need to win this war. That's more important than anything else, at the moment, considering the fact that Europeans are cowards and traitors. They just sit and wait until Ukraine is destroyed, and then those "peace-loving" Europeans will do business as usual, with their Russian friends.

@Whyme I ain't sayin' it was warm and cozy, just that it was very likely the least deadly option available at the time. I mean in the invasion of Okinawa, up to 50% of the civilian populace is believed to have died, mostly by suicide, and the Japanese gov't was preparing to orchestrate a similarly horrific mass-suicide in the event of an invasion. The two atomic bombs combined killed "only" about 200,000 people, and the conventional raids killed somewhere from 240,000 to 900,000. I'm by no means a defender of US foreign policy broadly, but the way we handled Japan at war's end was actually pretty reasonable.

@Whyme
were the us monsters for the gulf war ? Or is it just other countries that are monsters ?
If you're looking for an example of something monstrous the US did, I'd go with the invasion of Iraq in 2002 or the Indochina Wars. I honestly don't know enough about the Gulf War to say for sure, the extent to which the US was justified there.

@BlueVeins as an American...i think the most monstrous thing Americans ever did was the civil war....civil war by definition is the most disgraceful act in war history. and everyone should stop bringing up Pearl harbor and the two atomic bombs. We didn't want that war...we were bombed into it. and every bomb sent is done in anger. i am just saying

@Whyme
my point is are every culture that arent yours monsters and should confirm to your ways
K babe but I didn't state the contrary, you're arguing with yourself if that's the point you're making.
Fact states used a nuke nobody else had what about the mid east they have weapons of mass destruction lie how about that what makes that different than russia and ukraine ?
Not 100% sure what you're saying bc this sentence is borderline incoherent, but I could rattle off several reasons. For one thing, the Iraqi gov't pre-invasion was a fascist dictatorship, whereas Ukraine is a relatively liberal democracy. Iraq was guilty of genocide against the Kurdish people, whereas Ukraine didn't commit any acts of genocide. Iraq had recently invaded Kuwait unprovoked, whereas Ukraine has never invaded anyone. Iraq had expelled IAEA inspectors from its borders before the invasion, whereas Ukraine did not. Iraq is also a much smaller country, so casualties are likely to be much lower, all else equal.
None of this is to downplay the horrors of the Iraq War; it was a clear war crime committed by the United States and an incredible tactical blunder, by the by. But Ukraine & Iraq really isn't an apt comparison.
