Does anyone else think the Russian failures at the start of the war unlikely to be due to miscalculation alone?

Even if it was expected they would just capture the capitol in days, why would they have tanks without infantry support, could they really have been that stupid?

An autocratic Government runs on propaganda, and after awhile they believe their own lies and propaganda. Meanwhile, they will cut funding to necessary accounts, such as power, military, etc.
