Are nuclear weapons even that necessary, now that there are hypersonics?
Isn't it a lot more effective to send a missile so fast that nobody can stop it, which does the damage without the unpredictable nuclear fallout?

Turns out the Russian "Dagger" hypersonics are easily shot down by Patriot anti-missiles, so the question is purely hypothetical.
