I think it was a family picnic.

@MalteseFalconPunch Yeah, well, if you don’t think an armed riot to prevent Trump from losing power is a bad thing, I understand your point.

@MalteseFalconPunch Well, you have an interesting take. I can’t say I agree with it, but you seem to be coming from a concerned place in good faith.

@Human1000 I think I know what he's trying to say, but that does not make sense either.
As in the July 14, 1789 sacking of the Bastille was a good insurrection, but the Jan 6, 2022, attempting sacking oh the Capitol building and failed hanging of Mike Pence in the gallows they set up outside, is a bad insurrection.
For us, who were not there on July 14, 1789, we can simply say the Jan 6th insurrection, and everyone would still understand what it means.

@Northwest Ahh, not all insurrections are created equal. That being said, I think the term has a negative connotation. One man’s riot is another man’s “armed resistance” so to speak.
Jan 6 is different in that it is simply denied by its members, supporters, and enablers. Recall that for a couple of weeks it was a good ol’ “false flag operation.” I think that fell apart based on body type, goatee, and so much Velcro “tactical gear” no one believed the Dems could pull it off.
