Trying to summon enough energy to stop procrastinating, shower, and get dressed for my ritual of clam chowder and linguica at my favorite diner, only to have my son -- knowing my ritual -- call and ask I could wait until 12:30 when he could join me. Sometimes procrastination has rewards, which makes you wonder how the subconscious works in mysterious ways as well.

@SatyrService Even though my grandfather and my great-grandparents were Portuguese and immigrated from the Azores, Portuguese never shows up on my DNA registry. Just vague references to Iberian Peninsula and like you traces from Africa, Southeast Asia, elsewhere. I guess because we tend to assimilate and intermarry wherever we go.
