That bomb, if approved by Congress, could obliterate an area of approximately 15,360 square miles, completely. The Hiroshima bomb would have wiped out all of Houston, if used on a comparable population in the United States.

The proposed bomb would destroy the United States, Canada, and the Mexican Peninsula. The resultant radiation and fallout would poison both the Atlantic and the Pacific oceans. The Nuclear Winter would kill all plant life on earth.

I hope you've got your survival greenhouses set up in the deepest caves on earth.

@4meAndyou Did you know there is a rush on certain pieces of real estate in New Zeeland? Some extremely wealthy people are already buying this land and building "bomb resistant" houses on it with very deep large underground fall out/bomb shelters underneath them. They are stocking enough things to live for many, many years there.

@Nitedoc No, but I'm not surprised. There are some very deep salt caverns in the United States where records are stored, and I think those could be settled by survivor types quite easily.

@4meAndyou Oh yes there are quite a few places like that. The Gov. has some of those underground shelters already stocked and waiting. So does the military. A small number of citizens do as well. I'm pretty sure there will be some survivors here. I don't have the means or connections to be in any of those fortified places, so my chances of survival are pretty slim at best.

@Nitedoc Personally, survival is not on my to do list. I am too tired and financially depleted to try to run, and, like you, won't be in any fortified spaces.

@4meAndyou That's what I was saying. If I had the means to build the right type of shelter in the right place I might do it. But that's not going to happen. That being the case I quit worrying about this a long time ago because there nothing I can do about. I'm quite happy with my life and place in this world.

@Nitedoc Yup...and I failed to win th $15,000,000.00 Publisher's Clearing House prize this morning...so no wealthy buildings going on here.

@4meAndyou You've still got the lottery. Don't give up yet.
