If not for the atomic bomb, would the US have defeated Japan?

In an Answer Yes..even if we had to go it alone
Back then though..we were Allied with other nations
And it was Not us alone that won the war

Having won it ..Proved our Statas as a Super power

If we hadnt used the bomb
We still would of won
Though taking quite a bit longer
And at far greater loss of lives ( on both sides )

(US should think about this before trying to fight against China or Russia.

Both china and russia obtain and use hardware from us
( simular to how we Obtained Titanium from rusia in building the various types of SR-70 planes ..and other derivatives of it )
