When did nato invade those countries and force them to join nato? How many children did they kidnap and force to live in a strange country with no family? How many people did they murder? How many cities did they vaporize? Maybe those independent nations chose to join nato specifically to protect themselves from such barbaric probabilities.
@Carla Look at Bosnia and the French and Belgian atrocities against who they were supposed to protect, they ignored everything according to the refugees I worked with at a catering hall in the late 90's.

@BizSuitStacy and when did europe stop trading with russia? When did they threaten them? Why would putin feel threatened if he isn't trying to widen his borders? He would have always been safe had he been happy with immense country he has.
