Great! now they will never join NATO...and i wouldn't blame them

Getting NATO involved now almost certainly means getting the US involved, and the US and Russia going toe to toe in the current climate ends badly for everyone. Right now it’s a better idea to support sanctions on Russia to increase the pressure on their already rapidly crumbling economy. When the economy decays, so does their military ability.

In terms of military size and technology, you’re right. But they do have nuclear missiles and hypersonic missile technology which we currently have no real defense for. Currently the threat for that is low, but if this escalates and US troops are involved Putin may feel enough military pressure to use that. @TurtlePink
