I am done arguing with fake news and lies made or parroted by certain members on SW.

I will not argue, but, to provide facts and truth, I will post proven facts.

If that bothers you, then don't read my posts.

Also, I couldn't care less if the truth bothers you.

If you come on my post and are not civil, post fake news or otherwise lie, I will delete your comment.

If it continues, I will close the post to comments.

Block them is easier
Ontheroad · M
@NinaTina yes, that is easier, but I really do not want to block people for expressing their views.

I am good with genuine, civil discourse and disagreement, but I will delete and prevent lies from being associated with my posts.
NinaTina · 26-30, F
@Ontheroad so instead of getting rid of them you with get rid of your post?
Ontheroad · M
@NinaTina nope, just their comments.

@Ontheroad @OogieBoogie anger never work. If so they won... So no blocking needef
@NinaTina That's true, so long as one can keep their cool.
Which is easier said than done, if youre talking about something that means a lot to you, personally.

When someone is emotionally invested in a topic, its difficult to stay objective.🤷‍♀️

I know......ive neen trying for 20 years to master that exact thing 😩😅

Ontheroad · M
@OogieBoogie yeah, I'd hate to be so angry that it made me hate so many.
Awe thanks @NinaTina 🤗
Hugs are healing ☺️
Youre very sweet🤗
@Ontheroad theres a long reasoning to it - but in short - we kinda make our own behavioral habits - and those habits become very 'concentrated' as we get older.

Its like that Lao Tzu quote :

- Beware your thoughts lest they become your words
- Beware your words lest they become your actions
- Beware your actions lest they become your habits
- Beware your habits lest they become your character
- Beware your character lest it becomes your destiny

This is who they have become. And the only good thing about their arguing on here is - they arent doing it to someone in rl.

They will become those mad old ranting men you see in supermarkets, telling off anybody in their vicinity.

My mum used to look after patients in the Whittle ward, (wjere patients basically went to die).
And she mentioned this.
As people lose aspects and people in their life, they coalesce into the essence of what drove them as a person.
So if you were am angry type - you became an angry person.
If you were kind or funny....you became more so .

Its why i only argue for so long now.
Its also why i give up, or give in or learn to walk away and let them have the last word sometimes.

I secretly get glee from battling wits and winning arguments, or backing someone into a corner philosophically ....and all that.
Its ego .

But....now im not so sure its worth my soul.

I look at those types you speak of, and i truly wonder if they have ever given what they do a second thought.

Sorry - dont know where this saga came from 😂

@OogieBoogie Lao Tzu is right, but I think it goes deeper than that. I believe they are afraid, that they fear anyone not them, not of their small world of friends and these small communities filled with like-minded people.

Look at their posts, the images they share, and their words. It's hate, hate I believe, fueled by fear of a world they can't control and by things not them.

They find others like them online and their circle of hate grows and we have what we see today.

@Ontheroad and whose truth is it? Yours or someone else’s? Or is it the media’s because we all know the media no matter what outlets they are are not always honest and truthful. So, how do you decide what the real truth is or do you just go by what you think is the truth?
Ontheroad · M
@Prison1203 Observation is how I decide what I think. More specifically, it's the observation of how they react to other things and people not them.
Prison1203 · 61-69, M
@Ontheroad observation is not truth, it’s exactly what you say, it’s an observation not a truth. A little help for you.
Observation
/ŏb″zər-vā′shən/

noun
The act of observing.
"observations of a rare bird."
The power or faculty of observing.
The fact of being observed.
"kept the suspect under observation."
Ontheroad · M
@Prison1203 I said, "I think". Besides, you have no facts that make what I think untrue, so until you do, I won't argue it.
Prison1203 · 61-69, M
@Ontheroad what you think doesn’t make it truth , it’s makes it an opinion
Ontheroad · M
@Prison1203

Testing ideas with evidence from the natural world is at the core of science. Scientific testing involves figuring out what we would expect to observe if an idea were correct and comparing that expectation to what we actually observe.

Like I said, you got nothing, and goign on and on is you trying to disprove what you don't agree with (what is not you).

So yeah, adios.
Prison1203 · 61-69, M
@Ontheroad no, I’m providing you with facts, sorry that you can’t handle the truth as presented to you, so from what I understand from you is that you determine what you think is truth as compared to what the real truth is , there is a difference between truth and opinion
