Today I'm reading angry old man posts

Idk why I am but it's like when you can't take your eyes off a bloody car crash. All pretty much the same, America has been totally destroyed and SuperDonald is on his way to save it while evil forces try to stop him. This is one time when I'm glad I don't have a father cuz I would be embarrassed asf to call this dad

Whilst I agree with the sentiment, it's not just angry old men hankering after SuperDonald, is it?
Here from the (relative) sanity of the UK I keep seeing angry US men (and women) raging on about that bit in the Amendments which entitles them to go shopping with rocket launchers (just in case, ya know)
Angry people getting bigger and bigger, more and more powerful pickups just so they're bigger than the next motorist in event of a clash. And angry that the price of a fuel which doesn't have infinite reserves is increasing, unable to comprehend that change is required.
Much of the nation appears gripped in this psychosis: fear of others, especially foreigners, fear of anything which represents a society with compassion (sorry, commonly referred to in Murica as communism) and CONSTANTLY geared up for conflict
Can't help feel that this particular pimple is getting angrier and angrier to the point of it bursting and then, inevitably once the toxins are released, collapsing under it's own weight.

But those aren't men. Those are whiny, poor-me, fear-driven boys. Write them off.

Unfortunately, it is not JUST older people. I have met plenty of angry people of all ages. US has gotten really intense...

@SandWitch Much disaffection for a number of reasons: concentration of wealth; shift in demographics (pop. older on avg; POC are larger percentage-some feel disaffected); loss of compromise socially and politically; loss of "sand papering" between people during pandemic; non-shared info sources - so folks working from different info cause arguments about who is right. Etc Etc

@Neoerectus
Excellent collection of probable causes, all of which I'd have to agree with. I think the isolation society experienced from the pandemic is still causing a ton of social fallout globally, which is my own observation no matter where I travel to on business.

@SandWitch It affected customer service in retailers as well.

George Carlin's scene on YT, 'Life is worth losing' or the shortened version 'best 3 minutes' is still the best in my opinion at summing up this aspect of the American psyche. All very sad.

They claim to love America but all they have is hate

Dems are so far left JFK would be a republican by default
@Patriot96 And you are so far to the right, Stalin would welcome you with open arms
come2gether · 51-55, M
@independentone this comment doesn't even make sense...Stalin was so communist that even the Chinese don't mention him
plungesponge · 41-45, M
It's pretty... interesting that most of Trump's vocal base is dudes 70+. That's a demographic cul de sac if ever there was one.
ineedadrink · 51-55, M
The angry face crew do get worked up, don't they just.
Most of them here on SW have blocked me, thank goodness!

Maybe they should behave more like their leader!!

America hasn't been totally destroyed, only the Republican Party has been completely destroyed. Apart from that small issue, nothing else has changed in America.
Try reading some of my posts on my profile, hopefully you'll get some laughs.
