Is FACT CHECKING something new being done on this site or has it always been done?

Just wondering!

Can you please provide some links to examples of fact checking on SW?
I've never ever seen fact checking on this website, certainly not in any official capacity by the admins. That's why misinformation is the norm here, from all the climate deniers, Covid deniers, US election deniers, etc. The absence of fact checking here is why I have half of the site blocked or vice versa. It's as much of a cesspool as Parler, Gab or Twitter.
@SW-User I've received too many notifications so it's been pushed into oblivion, but, thats where I get notices that something controversial has been fact checked, my notifications.

@nonsensiclesnail interesting, I've not experienced this yet ... what were the results for you, what kind of things were fact checked, and were you given a positive of negative assessment?

@SW-User Here's the one that appeared in my notifications recently:

@ninalanyon ah, is it mainly in regard to SW users alleging the admins have said certain things then (SW-specific drama), rather than used for non-SW-specific things like news, politics, health, et al.?

@SW-User Hard to tell, I only have one example.
@SW-User Im not sure. The poster who stated whatever it was had me blocked or the poster had deleted their message. I dont recall which, so it wasn't a message I could see.

@SW-User I've never seen a fact check for anything not directly related to this site. I only see fact checks for a poll about new users here and something admins claim was never said.
Fact checking on this site is the last straw for me.
If I want to be fact checked... I want an ALL "fact based" site. This surely is not it.

@SW-User Exactly!

@nonsensiclesnail Admin... probably nuno... directed the user to delete certain comments.
