Is FACT CHECKING something new being done on this site or has it always been done?

If you mean the administrators of the site, then no, there's no official fact checking. It's up to individuals.

@Northwest It's being done on this site by admins... about things they don't like being said about their site and themselves.... So, it's something more new happening.
I do not believe it's right to send out notices to other members when nuno and company "fact check" and discipline a user.
