@ScarletWitch There wasn't one example that prompted this, but I was reflecting on many examples I’ve encountered throughout my life, such as when someone makes an impassioned argument based on a single sensational news story that turns out to be false (and maybe reveals a pattern of false information). They may then say “my point stands”, but often it doesn’t, not without its entire foundation.
