This why I didn't want minimum wage to go up. It actually lowered my wages.

@Spoiledbrat Raising the minimum wage to a living wage gets people above the poverty line and helps them to become productive members of society.

@JSul3 Raising the minimum wage lowers middle class wages and pays people a living wage for not having any skills.

@Spoiledbrat I disagree.
How do you expect anyone to survive on $7.25 hr...the Federal minimum.
Get them above the poverty line and off welfare.
Not having any skills for what?
Waiting tables..picking crops...????
Yes, the US is woefully short of skilled labor....in construction especially, doctors and nurses and healthcare industry.

@JSul3 Minimum wage here is $16 an hour and $20 for large fast food chains. It'll lower everyone else's wages and increase prices which also lowers wages. It's not the answer.

@Spoiledbrat Are you in CA?
If so, I applaud you.
If the Federal minimum wage, which is $7.25, unless is is raised to $21 or more, it will not impact CA.
Texas has a $7.25 min. wage.

@JSul3 The CA minimum wage increase has caused prices on goods to go through the roof.

@JSul3 I want people in poverty to stop taking my money and look for a better paying job. That's what I had to do.
