Here you go Brits. Home fuel bills up £100

Ofgem, the body that supposedly regulates the privatised energy industry in the UK has just announced that winter fuel bills are rising by around £100.

Due to the rise in wholesale energy prices.

So all that guff yesterday by the Chancellor and the Prime Minister patting themselves on the back for not cutting pensions or benefits despite the 'tough economic outlook' was probably because they knew this was coming

@mysteryespresso It's what's called The Autumn Statement from The Treasury.
A sort of State of the nation's finances and what the government intends to fund/cut to try and balance the budget.
@Picklebobble2 I think he has a good heart. It’s just that saying truth is too uncomfortable. Not many politicians are known for speaking without a filter like trump and trump is hated by both conservatives and liberals for this reason.
