With things getting more expensive as time goes on, I am not sure if I will ever be able to afford a house..

🤣😒

Depending on where your at. Or want to be. Most housing markets in the big cities are way over blown. Buy a chunk of land. Develop it yourself. Build your own house or even a log cabin. Throw a fabricated house on it to live in while you build. And after your house is done rent out the other one.
@icedsky exactly!1 you can even buy small house kits for around 40,000 to 60,000. They are not perfect, but they are something!
Inflation and interest rates are making things more difficult and may have pushed people out of home purchases because they won't be able to afford the monthly. The positive, is it can shift things into more of a buyer's market. Depending on your price range it means you wouldn't be competing with 20 other people for a home. If you can do that, and make it through this, interest rates should come down eventually and refinancing is usually painless.

@SW-User I guess there are pros and cons to that Know someone who bought one bear Seattle for $350,000. No yard to mow but it’s only 1,000 square feet

I wish you the best.

House prices have more than doubled here in the past 2 years.
