This time last year oil was at $89 it did spike in spring after the war started to $116 in May. That's not quite double. That is not even up 50%.

Oil is around $88 right now.

Oil companies are reporting doubling of profits.

And people think politicians are to blame for their pain at the pumps. 🤔

But yes, let's keep up the red team vs. blue team infighting while these corporations continue to bilk people for all they can.

Gas prices are always quick to go up with an increase in the oil price, and exceedingly slow to come down when oil prices decrease. The oil companies profit on both ends, and always have.
