John Kerry as Gas Prices Skyrocket: “We Absolutely Don’t” Need to Drill For More Oil

Joe Biden’s Climate Envoy John Kerry (who served in Viet Nam) hosted a discussion with the USC Center for Public Diplomacy over the weekend.

John Kerry is the perfect person to be in charge of reducing carbon emissions since he owns several mansions, a mega yacht and flies in private jets.

John Kerry said “we absolutely don’t” need to drill for more oil and gas during last weekend’s discussion.

Kerry made the remarks as gas prices soared to new record highs this week.

The cost of gas at the pump rose 55 cents in May to reach new highs almost every day of the month

US Producer Price Index rose 0.8% in May from a month earlier. In April the PPI climbed 0.4%. The number indicates the price crunch consumers are facing under the Joe Biden economy.

Americans are being forced to make changes to their lifestyle because gas is $5+ a gallon nationwide.

Instead of drilling for more oil here at home, Joe Biden plans on begging the Saudis for more oil.

But the US can’t drill.

We are so lucky to have economic geniuses like Kerry to drive the country further
into oblivion.

Weather we drill for more or not..the oil companies are going to get theirs and continue with their record breaking profits.... this is a give and take situation and as long as people continue to drive drive and drive..they(oil companies) will raise the prices... its just the game and how its played

IF the American people can pick 1 week and drive minimal... not saying stay home but take out the careless driving and drive the "demand" down.... then process will come down with it. Yet that wont happen and fingers will still point to band-aids and not the solution. If you need an example..look at the time when covid was taking place and you could no go places...gas prices were rock bottom because demand was down.

@black4white
the oil companies are going to get theres
Yeah, why can't they work for free? Dammit.
black4white · 56-60, M
@Budwick nope.... dont want them to work for free...never said that.... But why do they have to have RECORD BREAKING profits? why cant they just make a descent profits...
BTW... please let me know wher you get the "free" idea?

@black4white Oh get outta here with this ridiculous nonsense. We could bring the price of gas down by limiting driving for a week? It would take a considerable, long term, popular movement to reduce demand significantly before anything would change.

They will always turn a massive profit. Whether oil is $30 a barrel or $150, they always make profit. But supplying more oil would reduce prices, its very basic.

@black4white Apple posted an all-time revenue record of $123.9 billion, up 11 percent year over year. Shall we pillory them too?

Amazon's profit nearly doubled as company raises Prime fees! Those bastards! Let's have an investigation!

The federal government imposes a gas tax of 18.3 cents per gallon on gasoline and 24.3 cents per gallon on diesel. That is in addition to the state taxes, which are 30.63 cents on average per gallon on gasoline and 32.29 cents on average per gallon on diesel. And, they're not building anything on that infrastructure bill - workers can't afford to drive to projects!

@SumKindaMunster oh you right.... if they drill drill and drill and make sooo much more and deplete mother earth... YOU are 100000% correct

It would take longer to drive prices down by reducing demand...but its worth a try.

Thats why i say give and take.... and right now oil companies are in take take take mode
black4white · 56-60, M
@Budwick Apple..... people always want the latest and greatest...

Amazon and Bezo and just go suck it.... the guy makes billions and get over 150K tax refun..wtf

Taxes in our country....yep...full on BROKE!!!! i agree

Oh, and check tire pressure!
I remember Obama said that checking tire pressure would save us from his energy crisis.
